Getting started as a developer

We are glad that you have decided to join us in our journey of making healthcare accessible for all, and contribute to the development of our product. This page will introduce you to everything that you need to get started.

1. Read through our product documentation.

2. Create a github account if you don't have one.

3. Clone the repository on your local system from our github page.

4. Download and install the OpenMRS SDK

5. Set-up the Middleware, Web Application and android module as listed in the steps.

To start contributing, you could visit the contributing guidelines page or put in a request through email to work on any of the existing GIT issues in pipeline, or create your own issues/ feature requests. Based on the features/ bugs to be developed for that particular sprint cycle, we will then invite you to be a part of the weekly calls and contribute as a developer.

We would love to hear your experience on our product. We are always trying to find ways to improve on things we could do better, and positive reinforcement is always wonderful. Getting your inputs and perspectives will help us reach out to a larger audience and make the world better.
